All of us, including my kids are missing you on your 39th birthday. Almost every time I look at a little kitty I think of the great love you had for your cats. I hope you're smiling from above at the pictures they colored for you. We're all thinking of you on this day.
Many years ago I gave Chris a small sunflower plant one summer. He planted it and emailed me many photos of its growth during that summer. In subsequent years, he continued to grow beautiful sunflowers. This big bright sunflower reminded me of the brightness that came from your soul and shone from your countenance. Which brightness will continue to shine in us no matter the season. We love you Chris, thanks for blessing us with your great life!
Chris influenced all of our lives in so many ways. If you would like to submit a memory, story or photo, send an email to: chrisbeersmemorial@gmail.com

A Few School Photos
With the beginning of school comes those wonderful school photos. I think the first one was taken around the beginning of school on year and the other one was a high school yearbook photo. Chris loved all the activities that were associated with school, especially high school. When I got to Woods Cross High, I was immediately known as "Beersie's" little brother. This was due to the fact that both Chris and Carrey were very involved with sports and with the teachers and coaches. Chris, not only was on the football team, he also managed the basketball team and assisted the coaches with whatever they needed in other sports. He was a loyal friend indeed!

Beers Reunion
A few weeks ago we had our biyearly Beers family reunion. This picture was taken at our last reunion. Chris's absence was definitely felt. We missed his warm smile, his socializing with everyone ( because he knew everyone), him taking pictures of everyone at the events, and just him. You are most certainly missed!

An Olympian
With the opening ceremonies for the London 2012 Olympics just the other day it caused me to remember the role Chris played in the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics. Chris was a volunteer for the Paralympic games. As a volunteer, he spent many hours at several different venues. I remember him wearing his Olympic coat for several winters following 2002. If volunteering was an Olympic event, Chris would of definitely got the gold.
I remember came to see me at work one Saturday morning during the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. I asked him why he was so tired. He responded that he had been up all night watching different events. Chris loved to watch and cheer on the US athletes.
Chris always went for the gold in whatever he did!
